The Civic Centre in Newcastle upon Tyne continues its modernisation program making it fit for the 21st century.
The vast refurbishment is assisting Newcastle Council's drive towards increased energy efficiency and performance. As well as collaborating and combining resources with other public organisations, the seven floors of the Grade II listed building have been transformed into modern work spaces. With efficiency in mind, the iconic Civic Centre building has been kitted out with a range of Hacel LED luminaires designed to integrate the latest technology. Imaginative and intelligent lighting schemes are designed by Hacel with environmental awareness, whilst considering the well-being and sensory perceptions essential to working surroundings. The redevelopment opportunity also allows to protect this iconic building for future generations.
