Dementia UK hike

Our customer service manager Jack and his partner Rachel have completed a charity event for Dementia UK by trekking the Cheviot Hills on Good Friday.

In memory of Rachel’s late grandfather George Tait, the couple have hiked a little under 15km in under 4 hours. The Cheviot Route sees the highest point in Northumberland with the trek taking them along Harthope Burn, up Cairn Hill continuing to the Cheviot Hill (815m above sea level) then along the Scald Hill on the way back down. The weather stayed reasonable throughout apart from cold winds reading at -8 degrees at the summit.
